Rankings through October 18, 2014

After the fantastic battle between Florida State and Notre Dame, the upset of Baylor, and the solid performances by the top SEC teams, we are left with 4 SEC teams in the top 5 of our ranking, for essentially all values of our parameter p.  Florida State clearly has the easiest remaining schedule and seems like a shoe-in for the inaugural 4 team playoff.  The 4 SEC teams however have many battles ahead.  I have a feeling it will probably come down to FSU, the SEC champ, the Pac-12 champ, and either the Big-10 champ or the Big 12 champ for the 4 playoff spots.
